Monthly vs. annual

Annual billing is 10 months for 12 — ~17% off. You pay the year upfront, no auto-renewal unless you opt in. Most operators start monthly and switch to annual after 30-60 days once they're confident.

Changing tiers (upgrade or downgrade)

  1. Settings > Billing > Change plan
  2. Pick the new plan + cycle
  3. Confirm

Upgrades take effect immediately. We prorate — you only pay the difference for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date; you don't get a partial refund, but you keep the current tier's features until then.

Adding seats

Solo is a single user. Business and Enterprise both include unlimited users — adding people never changes your bill. If you are on Solo and need a second person, upgrading to Business is the only step; there is no per-seat add-on to buy.

Adding a user inside your plan is free — just send the invite (Settings > Team > Invite). Full walkthrough in Inviting team members and roles.

Overages

If you go over your monthly SMS, voice, or token allowance, we don't cut you off mid-conversation. Overages bill at:

  • SMS: $0.01 per message above plan
  • Voice: $0.10 per minute above plan
  • Agent tokens: $5 per additional 100K

Most operators never hit overage; the plans are sized comfortably. If you do start hitting it, we'll email you proactively and suggest the next tier (which is usually cheaper than ongoing overage).

Pausing your account

Seasonal business (e.g. school-uniform tailor, ski resort spa, holiday-only catering)? You can pause for up to 90 days at any time. Settings > Billing > Pause. Your number, calendar, transcripts, and clients stay intact; billing stops. When you resume, picks up where it left off.

Cancelling

  1. Settings > Billing > Cancel plan
  2. Pick when (immediate, or at the end of the current billing period — most operators pick end-of-period)
  3. Confirm

No retention call, no "are you sure?" loop, no fee. We don't pro-rate refunds for monthly cancellations (you keep service until the period ends), but annual subscriptions cancelled in the first 30 days get a full refund — email contact@deskwise.co to process.

Cancelling is reversible for 30 days — you can come back and re-enable, and your data is exactly where you left it. After 30 days we delete everything per our retention policy.

Invoices and payment methods

All invoices live in Settings > Billing > Invoices as PDFs. We bill the card on file; ACH is available on annual Business plans (email us to set up). Failed payment auto-retries 3 times over 7 days; if all fail, the account goes to read-only until updated.

Deskwise billing is what you pay us monthly. Stripe Connect is how your customers pay you. They're independent — you can connect Stripe Connect even on the smallest Deskwise plan.

Can I get a discount?

Annual saves 17%. Nonprofit + early-stage operators (under $100K revenue) can get a one-time 50% off first month — email contact@deskwise.co with proof. No volume / referral discounts otherwise.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Read-only for 30 days, then deleted. You can export any time (Settings > Privacy > Export). See Transcripts, recordings, and privacy.
